Histogram: χ²-based improvement (negatives clipped to 0 for “effective gain”).
Scatter: bary χ²/n vs QDS χ²/n (same denominator so v0=0 doesn’t fake-worsen).
Stress checks:v0=0 should yield χ²_qds≈χ²_bary.
If you see big deltas there, it’s either a bug, file mismatch, or model not truly reducing to bary.
